Originating in Germany and created by the German Institute for standardisation, the DIN standard has become a uniform European standard which eliminates technical barriers for trading throughout Europe. The DIN standard allows all member states to integrate in the free movement of goods throughout the EU, with now over 30,000 differing DIN Standards.
Many DIN standards are available in the UK for machine building, process equipment, aerospace, automotive and the medical and food industries.
